You can download an electronic copy of my novella, The Angel in the Room, by clicking on the “Free Story” link, in EPUB (for loading into eBook readers) or Adobe Acrobat PDF format, at absolutely no cost. This is a prequel to The Modern Miracles Series and is the first story to feature Father Karl Becker. It’s a good introduction to the book series. My charming bride, the Lovely Jane, says it’s a heartwarming little tale. I’m rather fond of it myself. It’s a short read, at just 50 pages, but an enjoyable one, I think.

I’ve received several requests for the story to be made available in paperback format. Apparently, some of you out there need physical media to reassure yourselves that the content you are reading is real, and I am all too happy to accommodate you. Now you can buy The Angel in the Room on Amazon, either as a Kindle file (which will be automatically inserted into your Kindle reader) for the almost free price of just 99 cents, or as a small paperback book for the slightly higher almost-free price of just $5.99.
These are the lowest prices I can make the novella available on Amazon. I’d offer it for free, but for some reason, Amazon insists on making money, even if it is only a few pennies, on every transaction. Apparently, it’s some kind of profit thing. Anyway, the paperback price just covers printing costs, plus some overhead expenses — I make a whopping 27 cents in royalties on each copy sold, so please buy one for yourself, for every member of your family, all your friends, everyone you have ever met, and anyone else that you may possibly meet in the future, and I may be able to buy a hot mocha at Starbucks.
If you do decide to buy the novella on Amazon, please promise me you will also register for my newsletter, so I can seduce you into buying future volumes of The Modern Miracles Series. You can do that now by clicking here. Go ahead. Do it. Do it now. You know you want to.
